Offshore Hydrocarbon Mapping plc (OHM) wins prestigious
industry award
At a ceremony in Aberdeen last night OHM was presented by Sir Ian Wood with the Scottish Offshore Achievement Award for Innovative Technology.
The awards, now in their 20th year, have been described as "The Oil Oscars"
and are led by the Scottish Enterprise Energy Team with
support from industry.
They recognise the outstanding achievements and contribution to the economy made by businesses in the offshore energy sector.
Dr. Lucy MacGregor Chief Technical Officer of OHM accepted the award on behalf of OHM.
Dave Pratt Chief Executive said, "The team at OHM is very proud of its achievements so far and this award, on the first anniversary of our flotation, brings with it welcome industry acknowledgment. The distinguished panel of judges, all leading industry figures, recognized the game changing potential of our technique. We are convinced that our controlled source electromagnetic imaging technique will become one of the essential tools in the successful oil and gas explorers' armoury".
